Please read these policies carefully before booking your appointment. By making a booking with JK The Beauty Pod, you agree to the terms set out below.
A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required at the time of booking for all appointments. This applies to both new and existing clients. Appointments will only be confirmed once the booking fee has been received.
The booking fee will be deducted from the final treatment price at your appointment.
Booking fees can be paid online through our booking system or in the salon by card.
Our online booking system may securely store your card details for future bookings. Please note that JK The Beauty Pod cannot access or view your card details, as they are protected and encrypted by the booking platform.
The remaining balance is payable at the end of your appointment. JK The Beauty Pod operates as a card-only business.
Prices are subject to change at any time; however, the price confirmed at the time of booking will be honoured for that appointment.
We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Rescheduled appointments cannot be cancelled. If a rescheduled appointment is later cancelled, the original booking fee will be retained by JK The Beauty Pod.
If you arrive late to your appointment:
If you do not attend your appointment without notifying the salon:
If you notify the salon within the appointment time, the situation may be reviewed at the salon’s discretion.
If an appointment needs to be cancelled by the therapist, you will be offered the option to reschedule at a time suitable for you, and your booking fee will be transferred to the new appointment.
All clients must complete a consultation form prior to their first appointment, regardless of the treatment booked. This ensures the therapist has accurate and up-to-date information regarding your health, medical history, and any factors that may affect your treatment.
Consultation forms will be sent automatically when the appointment is booked and again with the appointment reminder if they have not yet been completed.
If the consultation form has not been completed prior to the appointment, time will be allocated at the start of the appointment for completion. This time will be deducted from the scheduled treatment time.
Consultation forms must be reviewed and confirmed at every future appointment to ensure there have been no changes to your health, medications, or skin condition.
Failure to provide accurate or complete information may result in the treatment being modified, postponed, or refused if it is deemed unsafe to proceed.
All consultation forms and personal health information are securely stored within our booking system.
For all first-time tinting services, a patch test must be completed at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
Important: If a patch test has not been completed in the required timeframe, the treatment will be removed from the appointment diary and the appointment will remain chargeable.
Patch tests are free of charge but must still be booked through the salon booking system. Card details may be required to secure the booking.
Tinting services will not be provided to anyone under the age of 16, unless parental consent is given, a parent or guardian is present at the appointment, and the treatment is permitted under our insurance policy.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure patch testing requirements are met prior to their appointment.
Waxing treatments are not offered to clients under the age of 16 unless the therapist has been informed in advance, parental consent is provided, and a parent or guardian is present during the appointment.
Intimate waxing treatments are strictly for clients aged 18 and over.
For privacy and safety reasons, only the client and therapist are permitted in the treatment room during intimate waxing treatments, except where a client has a child with them.
Hair must be long enough for effective waxing. If hair is not long enough for optimal results, the therapist will remove as much as possible where appropriate; however, the full treatment charge will still apply.
Before receiving massage or facial treatments, clients must complete a consultation form.
If the therapist determines that the booked treatment cannot be safely carried out, an alternative treatment may be offered.
If the client chooses not to proceed with the alternative treatment, the full appointment charge will still apply.
Clients must inform the therapist of any medical conditions, allergies, medications, pregnancy, or recent skin treatments that may affect their service. This includes but is not limited to:
Failure to disclose relevant information may result in the treatment being modified or refused for safety reasons.
JK The Beauty Pod reserves the right to refuse treatment if it is considered unsafe or unsuitable to proceed.
Treatment results may vary between individuals depending on factors such as skin type, hair growth cycles, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare advice.
Clients will be provided with aftercare instructions where necessary, and it is the client’s responsibility to follow this advice to achieve the best results and reduce the risk of irritation or complications.
JK The Beauty Pod cannot guarantee specific results where outcomes depend on individual factors outside of the therapist’s control.
We strive to ensure every client is satisfied with their treatment.
If you have any concerns regarding a treatment, these must be raised with the therapist before leaving the salon so that we have the opportunity to assess the concern and provide a suitable solution where possible.
Refunds will not be provided for completed treatments where the service has been carried out as agreed.
If a concern is raised after leaving the salon, JK The Beauty Pod reserves the right to assess the situation and determine an appropriate resolution.
Children are allowed in the salon at the therapist’s discretion. However, clients may be asked not to bring children depending on the treatment being carried out.
For health and safety reasons, babies are not permitted during appointments.
From time to time, JK The Beauty Pod may take photographs or videos of treatments and results for portfolio, training, and marketing purposes, including use on social media platforms, the salon website, and promotional materials.
Where possible, clients will be asked for consent before identifiable images or videos are taken or shared.
Clients may request not to be photographed or recorded at any time, and this request will always be respected.
Any images used will be handled professionally and respectfully, and personal identifying information will never be shared without permission.
JK The Beauty Pod operates a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards staff or other clients.
Any client behaving in this manner may have their treatment terminated immediately and may be refused future bookings.
For the health and safety of clients and staff, we kindly ask that clients do not attend appointments if they are experiencing contagious illnesses or infections.
JK The Beauty Pod reserves the right to reschedule or refuse treatment if a client attends with a condition that may pose a risk to themselves, the therapist, or other clients.
JK The Beauty Pod cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings brought into the salon. Clients are advised to keep personal items with them at all times.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable, transferable to another person, and valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
Gift vouchers must be used to make a booking within the 3-month validity period.
Example: If a voucher is purchased on 1st January, the appointment must be booked by 30th March. The appointment itself may take place after this date.
Appointments booked using a gift voucher cannot be cancelled or rescheduled. If the appointment is missed or cancelled, the voucher will be considered redeemed and will no longer be valid.
JK The Beauty Pod reserves the right to refuse an extension to the voucher expiry date.
While every effort is made to ensure the online booking system runs smoothly, JK The Beauty Pod cannot be held responsible for technical errors, booking failures, or duplicate bookings.
If this occurs, we will contact the client as soon as possible to rearrange the appointment at a suitable time.
